Psalm 23:1-3 NKJV reads: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.” Why does it say green pastures? Because we need to lie down in green pastures to experience a season of preparation and soak up vital nutrients.

Are you prepared for the next season in your life? Click To Tweet

You see it’s in green pastures that we soak up the minerals that we need in preparation for when when we relocate to an environment that’s not as fertile. If a pregnant woman gives birth to her baby before it has absorbed all of the nutrients in the womb, the child may have a small chance of survival. If you try to live a lavish lifestyle before you have the money to support it you won’t last long in the lap of luxury. If you try to start a business before you’re adequately prepared, there’s a good chance the business won’t last very long.
