Hebrews 12:11 NIV says, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteous and peace for those who have been trained by it.” We all have to suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is that discipline weighs ounces; regret weighs tons. Self-discipline is the ability to make yourself do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done regardless of your feelings.
