Temptations, Tests & Trials


Knowing the difference between temptation, tests, and trials is critical; these three words are frequently used in the Bible, but they each have a different origin, purpose, and desired outcome. We must learn how to respond properly to each, or we won’t live the life God designed for us. God tests us in order to develop and promote us. satan uses our own lust to tempt us in order to demote us. Trials are challenges we encounter in life. The appropriate response to a test is to pass it in order to graduate to the place God desires. When it comes to temptation, we must take the “way of escape” God provides for us, so we don’t compromise. As it relates to trials, the bible tells that we will experience “trials and tribulations,” so we need to keep our eyes on Him and maintain a right attitude…
