Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, May 22nd 2017 Share the goods! Have you ever seen a big dog on a leash and the person is being pulled in each and every direction? You keep listening to the owner yell at the dog “come over here, come over here” and it looks like the dog is walking the person rather than the person walking the dog. This is exactly how some people live their Christian life. They are living their Christian lives on a law leash! “Stop doing this, stop doing that, read your bible, go to church…” There is nothing wrong with these things in themselves, but we are being jerked around by a law leash. Now, have you ever seen a dog walk by its master without a leash yet they never leave their master? The person walks, the dog walks. The person stops, the dog stops. You know why you do not need a leash? Because of their relationship. When you walk in a house, you can always tell the difference between a grace dog and a law dog. A law dog always has its tail tucked in underneath, it is intimidated by its master because it thinks the master is going to yell, “Do this!” or “I am going to spank you with the newspaper!” But when the grace dog sees its master, its tail starts to wag because it knows that there is a relationship. Jesus paid the price to give us access to the relationship He has with Father God. Click To Tweet MORE TOPICS addiction authority biblical characters career challenges...
It’s in the Blood

It’s in the Blood

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, August 22nd 2016 Share the goods! There is power in a bloodline. People suffer from low self-esteem because they do not know the power of the bloodline that they come from. The study of horses reveals some interesting things… A thoroughbred horse is bred from the purest and best blood. They are referred to as “Blood Horses.” Approximately 300 years has been invested in the development of their bloodline, also referred to as the horse’s stock. The people responsible for protecting the bloodline are known as “Blood Stock Agents.” When a “Blood Stock Agent” is looking to purchase a colt, a baby horse, he is not concerned with its physical characteristics; he only wants to know one thing: what is its bloodline. The colt’s worth and purchasing price are not dependent on its achievements but on the victories that have been won in its bloodline. The Blood Stock Agent knows that in spite of how feeble the weak-kneed colt looks as it stumbles around while trying to stand up for the first time, it is going to stand in the winner’s circle one day because it has the blood of champions. A complete analysis is done of the mare and the stallion before breeding. First, the horse’s physical attributes are studied: stride, leg length, foot strike, angles of the ankles, and size of the lungs. Then the attributes of the bloodline are taken into consideration: who are the ancestors, what did they go through, what are their accomplishments, and what are their measurements. Every ancestor on both sides is researched and...

The Falling Spider

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, July 4th 2016 Share the goods! When you knock a spider off the wall, she’ll throw out cobwebs while she’s falling, and if you try to knock a spider while she’s falling backward you can’t hurt her because she knows how to break her fall. No matter how you try to knock the spider off balance she continues to spray cobwebs to break her fall. We Christians ought to be like that spider. The spider fights with what she has within herself to break her fall, and is protected by her cobweb. No matter what height she falls from, the spider empties out what God put inside of her, and she survives the adversity of the experience. The goal of the enemy is to make you doubt yourself and what you have in your own “web” inside you. If we were able to control every point of access into America, or only have one point of access then it would be difficult for terrorists to infiltrate the country. Cancerous Thinking

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, January 11th 2016 Share the goods! Did you know that cancer cells do their own thing? They have their own agenda and act independently within the body—growing and multiplying as they desire, and destroying the good cells. And this is how negative thoughts work in the life of the believer— each negative thought that we have tends to multiply and metastasize, but God gave us the ability to renew our minds so that each good thought becomes a building block that fortifies us and the body of Christ. But when we allow negative thoughts to grow and metastasize into cancerous thinking those thoughts end up destroying us! Each negative thought that we have tends to multiply and metastasize. Click To Tweet Look at the metaphor in Ephesians 4:15-16 (NKJV) “but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Joints connect and build up the rest of the body. Forming Pearls

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, October 26th 2015 Share the goods! What are pearls? Pearls are formed from irritations inside a clam. A grain of sand lodges in the flesh of a clam and begins to form an irritation. The body of the clam begins to fight the sand by building up calcium. As it builds up calcium it starts to form a pearl. As we fight against the irritations in our lives we, too form pearls. The things that we’ve endured, the things that have hurt us cause us to build up a defense, just as the clam forms a pearl by fighting against the sand trapped in its flesh. The pearls in our lives are formed by the irritations in our lives. Pearls are beautiful. They are wonderful. They look good. But those pearls were built up by the pain in our life. The Blessing

The Blessing

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, October 19th 2015 Share the goods! Blessing” is the main buzz word now in the Christian community. Everyone’s talking about “receiving a blessing” or “being blessed”, but when they use the word “blessing,” they’re usually referring to a material blessing–they’re talking about the the car, the house, the mate, the job. Those folks are looking for a physical manifestation of a desire, and that’s fine, but the essence of a true blessing takes place on the inside. In the process of moving toward the thing that you desire, the LORD does a work on you in the inside. What you become in the process of being blessed is more important than the end result. Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” NKJV. So don’t tell me that God blessed you with a house, and you’re miserable going home. Don’t tell me that He’s blessed you with more money, but you’re giving less than you did before. Don’t tell me that God has blessed you with a new job, but your family’s being destroyed because you’re not home as much. It’s not a blessing if you haven’t been transformed on the inside. Blessing takes place first on the inside. How do you know when a caterpillar has been blessed? Most would respond: When it turns into a butterfly. Yes that’s true, but the real blessing starts as the caterpillar is turning into a butterfly; a mighty change starts to take place on the inside of a caterpillar and then in due time...
Planted vs Buried

Planted vs Buried

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, October 12th 2015 Share the goods! It’s critical that we know the difference between being planted, and being buried. In John 12:24 (NKJV), Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” God wants you to know that you’ve been planted, but satan wants you to think that you’ve been buried. So it’s critical that we know the difference between planting and burial. On the surface, planting and burying look the same; both involve digging into the ground, but here’s the key difference: planting has a future; burial does not. You bury the dead when life is over, but when you plant a seed, you bury it in the ground so that after a period of transformation it comes back up greater than it was when it went down. When you plant a seed, you aren’t burying it to get rid of it, but rather you are planting the seed so that new life may grow. But satan wants you to feel that you’re buried. Buried in guilt. Buried in shame. Buried in regret. And he wants you to remain in buried, stuck in the dark. Just because you may be in a dark place now, it doesn’t mean that that’s your final destination. Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, March 20th 2017 Share the goods! If you want a big tree, you don’t plant a big tree. No, you must plant a seed. This happens in the spring. When you look at the picture on the outside of the package, and you compare it to the contents, the two do not look the same. This is how nature works. You plant a seed, and then the plant comes up, but it does not look like the seed. When you have a bunch of seeds together, it could be apple, tomato, etc. If you place them together, you don’t know the difference until you plant them. But when they grow up they all look different. When you plant a seed and it dies, what really dies? The shell of the seed dies not the heart of the seed. Let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16:24 Click To Tweet Now, this is critical because the life does not come from the shell, it originates from the inside, but that life cannot come forth until the outside of it dies away. This is what dying to self is. Then something new comes. Think about it, in the fall you will have acorns all over the place, but the acorns are what cause oak trees to come forth. Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, January 16th 2017 Share the goods! Who was behind the murders of Pilanesberg’s rhinos in South Africa some years ago? Elephants. Why would elephants kill rhinos? Well, like juvenile delinquents, they had grown up without role models. “I think everyone needs a role model and these elephants that left the herd had no role model and no idea of what appropriate elephant behavior was,” said Gus Van Dyk, Pilanesberg Park’s Field Ecologist. The problem goes back 20 years to South Africa’s largest conservation area, Kruger National Park. Kruger had too many elephants. In those days, there was no way to relocate their large adult elephants. So researchers decided to kill the adults and save the children, who were more easily transported to other parks. The government veterinarian, Dr. Hym Ebedes, who originally approved the relocations, said it was a good idea. He said that he considered the possibility that the young elephants might not adjust well, but that there was no other option. The intentions may have been good, but the program created a whole generation of traumatized orphans thrown together without any adults to teach them how to behave. One of the greatest and scariest aspects of 9/11 was the fact that the enemy had set up cells in our community. This is so scary because cells are pockets of enemies that are planted so that they can familiarize themselves with our patterns of life. In older times they were called the fourth column. Well, satan does the same thing now. He sets up cells that plant themselves in our minds and they study our thoughts and the things that interest us. Just like the 9/11 cells, these cells in our mind become activated. Don't believe the enemy and his lies. Click To Tweet Let’s talk about some of the cells that the enemy plants in our mind that activate at the opportune time: 1. Fear is a cell that the enemy plants. He tells you that you do not have what it takes to make it. He tells you that you will grow old and your dreams will not come to pass. 2. He plants the cell of ‘unlovable.’ In other words, he tells you that you are unlovable. He really loves this cell with single women because he tells them that they are incapable of being loved and that no man will appreciate what they have to offer. He tells them that they will never meet anyone who will care for them. 3. Age is another cell that the enemy plants. The captain sets a compass heading in the direction he wants to go. He locks in that heading on the autopilot, and then the boat takes off in that direction; so far so good. It keeps its original decision in place, heads straight for the goal, and then goes through the wave. There is a splash, lots of rocking and spraying, and an immediate correction by the autopilot if the ship is knocked off course in any way. When I say immediate, I mean immediate. Every now and then, the computer will prompt you with a question. “Do you want to save your work?” Your choices are Yes, No, or Cancel. In some cases, if you Cancel, it means give me a little more time. But at the end of every man’s life every file is closed. Every time you click “Close” you get asked the question, “Do you want to save your work?” Will you hear "Well done!" at the end of your life on earth? Click To Tweet The goal of every man is to spend his days opening files and working. So that when we come to the end of our lives, and we are asked, do you want to save your work, because we have used the time to glorify God, our answer can be YES!! Here is the question that every man has to ask himself, do you want to save your work? Are you living the kind of life that you would be proud to say, “Yes, I want to save my work for God to review!” MORE TOPICS addiction authority biblical characters career challenges children communication convictions depression discernment emotions failure faith family fear finances forgiveness grace healing identity leadership love marriage men parenting personal development pornography priorities process purpose relationships respect...
Metabolize Your Life

Metabolize Your Life

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, May 2nd 2016 Share the goods! When we do not metabolize or process the events in our lives we prevent ourselves from being able to embrace the new that God has for us. We’re like a computer that has a very small hard drive, say 3GB, and every time we try to upload a new program to our computer it slows down. I once had a computer that took 15 minutes to “boot up.” I would turn on my computer in the morning and then I would take a shower or eat breakfast, or do a whole bunch of other things. I finally realized that my computer was slow because there was no room on my hard drive for anything new. Get ready for the new things God has for you! Click To Tweet In other words, I had to remove some old programs to make room for the new programs. This is how life is for many people. God has some new software that He wants to load onto the hard drive of our life. But because we haven’t metabolized, or processed previous experiences we are unable to embrace what God is trying to do. It could be said that some people spend their whole lives “booting up.” In other words, they never get to run the program of life that God has for them because they are always “booting up.” They never get to the application of the things that God has for them because of unresolved issues that keep them in perpetual “boot up” mode. The goal of...
Roots & Fruit

Roots & Fruit

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, April 25th 2016 Share the goods! In the bible there is a teaching on roots and fruits. God has designed the universe so that you can identify problems based on the effect they have on our lives. For example, suppose you discover water dripping from the ceiling of your living room and it’s ruining your carpet. You will probably respond to this problem in one of two ways. One way is to engage in damage control. You will keep empty pots and pans wherever the water is leaking and scurry around to keep them emptied. If you live in a rainy climate, this could become a full-time job. Plus, it’s hard to cook without cookware! Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Click To Tweet The second method you might choose is to hire someone to come in and fix the leaky roof. This may cost more, but it will truly solve the problem. The soggy carpet is evidence of the “fruit.” It tells us that there is a serious problem in the structure of the house. The “root” is the leaky roof. If we do not pay attention to the root, we will likely have much more bad fruit, such as thousands of dollars of damaged carpet and flooring. Matthew 7:17-18 NKJV says, “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. In other words, results always point toward causes. MORE TOPICS addiction...
Frisbee Dog

Frisbee Dog

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, April 10th 2016 Share the goods! Say you have a Frisbee dog at home. You know, the kind that catches Frisbees. You enter him into all types of competitions and he breaks his leg playing Frisbee. We all know that the dog is going to take at least a couple of weeks to heal. Would you make your dog go out and perform injured? The answer is no because you love your dog, and you want him to get well so that he can play Frisbee another day. As a result, you may lose a Frisbee competition because you were a no-show. When we have Biblical values, we know that if we are asked to do things by other people who do not understand us as well as we need to be understood, they may be asking us to play Frisbee with a broken leg. We know that if we do, we are going to re-injure ourselves. This is when we have to allow our “yes to be yes and our no to be no” (Matthew 5:37), which is simply a way of protecting ourselves. It may not seem loving to the person who wants to control you, but it is loving to God because you are taking responsibility to fix that puppy’s broken leg. Let your yes to be yes and your no to be no! The War is Over

The War is Over

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, February 22nd 2016 Share the goods! Years ago a report was released about some Americans who went to a remote area in the Pacific islands, and discovered people still fighting fifteen to twenty years after World War II had ended. The people on the island had not heard the news that bombs had been dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and that a peace treaty had been signed, and the war was over. When the Americans arrived and told them that the war was over, the islanders initially didn’t believe them and thought the Americans were trying to kill them. Are you fighting a war that has been over since Christ died for your sins? Click To Tweet Later they discovered how ignorant they’d been—fighting for two decades after the war was over. This is what the sinner discovers after he gets born again. He realizes that he’s been fighting a war that has been over since Christ died for his sins. And when the sinner finally has a revelation of this, he says to himself, “Peace has been won, and I no longer have to go around fighting for myself living with all of this tension on the inside of me! The war is over and I am free!” MORE TOPICS addiction authority biblical characters career challenges children communication convictions depression discernment emotions failure faith family fear finances forgiveness grace healing identity leadership love marriage men parenting personal development pornography priorities process purpose relationships respect restoration righteousness sex sin success temptation trials women Help us continue helping others! Life of an Acorn

Life of an Acorn

Family Leadership Men Personal Development Relationships Women Monday, February 15th 2016 Share the goods! Have you ever seen an oak tree surrounded by fallen acorns? If you step on an acorn it cracks easily, but the oak tree that grows from its seed is almost indestructible. The oak tree is much harder than its seed and compared to the acorn looks and feels very different and is made of a very different substance. The acorn is weak and the tree is powerful; the acorn is fragile and the tree is nearly indestructible. But you have to plant the weaker acorn before the stronger tree can grow. The goal of the Christian life is for the inward man to swallow and dissolve the outward man. Click To Tweet Catch this: the tree does not come from the shell of the seed; it comes from inside of the seed. What releases the power inside of the seed is the death of the shell. When a seed is planted in the ground, the shell dissolves, releasing the life on the inside into the soil and the substance of the tree is created from the inside, not the shell of the seed. So what happens is the inner part of the seed swallows up the outer part of the seed and a whole new substance comes out of the ground called a tree. Likewise we are seeds. The goal of the Christian life is for the inward man to swallow and dissolve the outward man. This will happen completely when Jesus returns, but our goal is for this to happen now here on...
